CLUB FISHING&COMPETITIONS

The annual Gordons Bay Tuna Classic was held in the last week of April. A fantastic Tuna ,identified as a BlueFin (originally thought it was a BigEye) of 135kg was landed on the boat Magoffter & caught by Okkie Vermulen.

The annual TUNA NATIONALS was held last week from the club. Unfortuately only 1 day was fished but the teams managed to catch some very nice fish.A total of 20 Y/fin & 40 L/fin were bought to the scales.

Medals awarded as follows:

Gold ............SADSAA

Silver............EP

Bronze..........WP

HBBO - MARINA MATTERS

Any problems or suggestions on the marina please do not hesitate to contact Chris immediately at the club.

We have designed and manufactured a “trolley” with a fish bin for the purpose of offloading fish & carry of bait more practically on the marina. All boat owners are requested to use this if off loading on the marina.

We have just erected an “Eagle Eye” which is a bird deterrent to hopefully scare the seagulls away from sitting & messing on the boats & marina.

The yard has been fitted with a new palisade fence so let’s hope this will keep the “thieves” out.

CONCLUSION

Please support your club & those members who have not yet paid their subs to please do so immediately.

Kind regards

Chris
