CLUB FISHING&COMPETITIONS

- The annual Two Oceans Tuna Derby will be held in the beginning of November 2010.The sponsors have already indicated some fantastic prizes. More information will follow

HBBO - MARINA MATTERS

- SO AS TO KEEP IN THE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD CUP ALL BOAT OWNERS ARE REQUESTED TO ERECT 2 FLAGS OF THEIR CHOICE & FLY THEM ON THEIR BOATS

- Any problems or suggestions on the marina please do not hesitate to contact Chris immediately at the club.

- Our current security company VenSec security solutions have embarked on a “new” system which monitors the movement of the guards patrolling on & around the marina. This upmarket system sounds an alarm if the guard has not completed his round.Hopefully this new system will ensure that the guards are carrying out their tasks correctly.

- There was an incident last week when one of the boats was broken into. However it has been established that this was an “inside” job.

- On this point it has been bought to my attention that boat owners are still leaving there expensive rods & reels on board. These items are “targeted”by many a thief as there will always be a market for this kind of product.YOU ARE WARNED PLEASE REFRAIN FROM LEAVING THESE ITEMS ON BOARD...especially now that winter is here & the season closes for 3-4 months.

- The yard has been fitted with a new palisade fence so let’s hope this will keep the “thieves” out.

CONCLUSION

Please support your club especially now in winter & those members who have not yet paid their subs to please do so immediately.

Kind regards

Chris
